Whether you’re a music lover, creative professional, event person or simply looking for a way to get involved, we’d love to have you join us. We’re currently looking for volunteers to support our year-round programming and annual Holiday Hits show.
Volunteer positions
Since 2022, Portland Songwriters Guild has been rapidly growing programming while remaining a small and 100% volunteer run team. To help build sustainability and continue to grow, we need your help.

Help tell the story of Portland’s songwriting community.
Work with the PSG team to keep our Instagram active, engaging and connected to our community. This role helps promote upcoming events, celebrate local songwriters and share what’s happening across PSG.
Great for someone who: enjoys social media, content creation and storytelling and wants to use those skills to support Portland music. Light graphic design skills or experience in Canva required.

Help create a welcoming space for Portland songwriters.
Our open mic hosts are the face of PSG at our monthly events. Hosts welcome artists and audiences, introduce performers, explain the format and help keep the night running smoothly.
Great for someone who: is comfortable speaking in front of a crowd, enjoys meeting new people and loves live music.

Help build partnerships that keep our programs going.
Work with PSG leadership to identify potential sponsors, donors and community partners and help us build relationships with Portland businesses and supporters.
Great for someone who: enjoys connecting with people, building relationships, fundraising, sales or community outreach.

Help keep PSG organized and our community connected.
Support the behind-the-scenes work that keeps Portland Songwriters Guild running. This role will help with website updates, our monthly email newsletter and CRM management, including keeping our contact lists and community information organized.
Great for someone who: is organized, comfortable working in a CRM (hubspot) and website host (Squarespace) and enjoys writing, communications or keeping information up to date.

Help us bring our annual holiday show to life.
Holiday Hits takes a team. We’re looking for volunteers with a variety of interests and experience to help plan, promote and produce the event.

Help create a welcoming experience for artists, volunteers and guests.Artist Coordinator
Communicate with participating artists and help keep artist logistics organized before and during the show.Marketing
Help promote Holiday Hits through social media, digital marketing and community outreach.Sound + Backline Team
Help coordinate the equipment and technical needs that keep the show running smoothly.Program Manager
Help keep the many pieces of Holiday Hits organized, on schedule and moving forward alongside the Executive Director of PSG.
