The Bridge

The Bridge is a monthly songwriter showcase curated and hosted by Kyle J. Glenn, presented in partnership with Artichoke Music and Portland Songwriters Guild.

The Bridge is a monthly songwriter showcase that blends live performance with thoughtful insight into the songwriting process, creating a listening-room experience that fosters meaningful connection between performers and audience. Each song is carefully vetted for quality and readiness, and every evening is intentionally curated to ensure a cohesive, attentive atmosphere. All performances are professionally recorded, providing participating artists with high-quality video footage for promotion, submissions, and beyond.

For listeners

The Bridge offers audiences a chance to discover emerging songwriters in an intimate setting built for listening.

For those who already know and support the artists, it is also an opportunity to hear their work in a quieter, more intentional room where lyrics land, dynamics breathe and the songs can be experienced fully.

The evening runs approximately two hours and includes a short intermission.

For songwriters

The Bridge exists to help songwriters cross from open mics into listening room performances.

Artists share well developed original songs in a supportive but focused setting alongside two other writers. The format encourages connection between artists and audience while keeping the music at the center of the evening.

Artists receive:

  • A base performance honorarium

  • Shared tips from the evening

  • Full merchandise sales

  • High quality video footage of their performance

Songwriters can submit for consideration using the link below.
