Nate Norton

Nate Norton creates folk for the dark night of the soul. Rooted in intricate fingerstyle guitar and a commanding, weathered voice, his songs explore the tension between grief and hope with quiet intensity. Fans of Sufjan Stevens, Iron & Wine, and José González will find familiar touchstones in his songwriting, while his gravel-worn vocal delivery recalls the raw honesty of Tom Waits. Shaped by his journey out of religious fundamentalism, Nate's songs bear witness to loss, resilience, and the slow, unfinished work of becoming.

Leila Chieko

Leila Chieko is a multi-instrumentalist and singer based in Portland, Oregon via Hawaii. You may know her best as a smiley force behind the drums, most recently with Ashleigh Flynn & The Riveters, however she also deftly wields a guitar with a captivating vocal presence all her own. Influenced by 90's-era grunge, her riffy chords add texture beneath her Seal-like soulful vocal melodies, incorporating odd-time signatures and rhythmic chops as a nod to her love of Prog-Rock.

She has two recordings: A self-titled EP on which she played all acoustic and electric guitars, bass, and drums; and GARAGEpro EP as The Leila Chieko Trio (now defunct, featuring Asher Fulero on keys/bass, and David Lauder on drums). The trio has played at numerous small venues and Pride Festivals in Portland and Eugene.

After a long hiatus, Leila is reacquainting herself with being a guitarist and singer-songwriter, resurrecting songs from her writing peak as a young adult navigating themes of heartbreak, unrequited love, and trust. Lately she has been studying music theory and electric guitar techniques and is excited to see what kinds of songs will emerge from this new musical and emotional perspective. She aims to put together a new band and get back into the studio this year.
